San Jose-February 24, 2010

U.S. Ambassador Anne S. Andrew hosted four Lincoln High School students, their English teacher, the school principal, and proud parents at the U.S. Embassy to recognize their winning essays on the theme “Leadership in the 21st century: How Bold Can a Modern Leader Be?” The winning essays, which also included a moving poem, were chosen from among several participating contestants. In thanking the students for highlighting the continuing relevance of Lincoln’s example to today’s leaders, the Ambassador presented the winners with her Certificate of Excellence in a ceremony hosted at the Embassy.
